Multi-switch Systems
The interface elements independently allotting the signals received from satellite antennas among the users are called as multi-switch. These systems minimize the number of dishes on the buildings and ensure receiving image independently from a centre through the satellite receiver. Multi-switch systems, more individual than head-end system, allows the end-user to change the number of TV channels and configuration. The users can watch the channels, received from a receiver depending on the number of dishes installed in the system, according to their preferences.
Head-end Systems
The system, in which end-users can receive images from TV channels in pre-determined numbers by creating a single centre and connecting blocks and residences to each other from underground in populous venues and areas with large number of TV watchers (e.g. mass housing, schools, hospitals, hotels etc.), is called as head-end system.
